How much does it cost to spray foam a metal building?
It comes down to board feet: the sprayed surface area (walls, plus the roof if you insulate it) multiplied by the depth of foam in inches, multiplied by the contractor’s rate per board foot. Closed cell is denser and costs more per board foot but is usually applied around 2 inches; open cell costs less and is usually applied at 3 to 4 inches. Doors and windows come off the sprayed area. Rates vary by contractor and region, so the only real number is the one your contractor quotes — use the FoamBid calculator to see how the math works on your building.
What does FoamBid do?
FoamBid is quoting and job software for spray foam contractors. Your customers fill out a short form about their metal building and get an instant estimate. You review it, adjust the price if the estimate is off, and approve or deny it. Approved customers pay their deposit online, message you in the same place, and you schedule the job.
How long does setup take?
About ten minutes. You set your rate per board foot for closed cell and open cell, set your deposit percentage, and connect Stripe so deposits reach your bank account. Then you share your quote link. There is nothing to install and no data to import.
Do I need a website?
No. Every company gets a quote page hosted for them, and the link works anywhere you already are — Google Business profile, Facebook page, text messages, a QR code on the truck. If you do have a website, you can point your own domain at the page instead.
Where does the deposit money go?
Straight to your own Stripe account and your own bank. FoamBid never holds your money. If a customer would rather pay by cash or check, you can mark the deposit paid by hand and the job moves forward the same way.
Can I change a price before the customer sees it?
Yes, and that is the point. The instant estimate gets the conversation started; you set the final price before approving. Every quote waits on your decision, so nothing goes out at a number you did not agree to.
